BNW 0.7.1 makes a fresh install reach the network without configuration.

Changes

  • A public relay by default. A node given no --relay now uses BNW’s public relay (relay.cellmobs.com, pinned to its peer ID). A node behind a home or office router can reach peers on other networks right after bnw setup, and the relay is its first peer for discovering capabilities. --relay replaces the default, and --no-default-relay turns it off.
  • Capabilities are found again after reconnecting. A node advertises its capabilities again whenever it gets a new relay reservation, and every hour. A node that started before it was online, or a relay that restarted, no longer leaves shared capabilities unfindable for hours.
  • Signed results appear in published track records. Automated results no longer carry boilerplate text, so receipt digests include the provider’s signed result.
  • The installer no longer prints an error in scripts and containers after a successful install.
